Israel Came Over This JordanTwilight on the Jordan River (“the Yarden”) by Michael Shmidt. In Hebrew, “Yarden” means “descent” and refers to the river’s sources, coming from the melted snow of Mount Hermon, which flows down through the Sea of Galilee before reaching the river.
