Ten years ago (2006) it was believed that only five strains of the Ebola virus existed, all potentially fatal.  in 2006, the Marburg strain was not thought to actually be a strain of the Ebola virus.

Today (2016) there are five (5) known strains of the virus all potentially fatal.  However, the Reston virus only affects primates.  So the correct answer is four (4).
