What is a group of owls called?

18 hours ago, dgrimm60 said:

PARLIAMENT

Answer: Many people may be familiar with collective terms such as a “murder” of crows, a “pack” of wolves and a “gaggle” of geese. But what is the collective term for a group of owls? Owls are generally solitary, but when seen together the group is called a “parliament” as they have long been considered to be of a wise disposition. In Greek mythology, the owl is the symbol for Athena, the goddess of wisdom. There are different theories as to why exactly they’ve been considered wise, but most believe it’s due to their wide-eyed, seemingly watchful, thoughtful gaze, and ability to see at night.

Answer: Lincoln Logs were invented by John Lloyd Wright, second son of the architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The mold for the toy was based on the architecture of the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, designed by the inventor's father. The foundation of the hotel was designed with interlocking log beams, which made the structure "earthquake-proof". A century after their creation, Lincoln Logs continue to be popular in a high-tech world. Over 100 million sets have been sold worldwide, and Lincoln Logs were inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame in 1999.

HARRY  S.  TRUMAN

Answer: The most recent president without a college degree was Harry S. Truman, who served until 1953. The 33rd president of the United States, Truman attended business college and law school but graduated from neither. Even though nearly a dozen U.S. presidents - including some very successful ones - never earned degrees, every White House occupant since Truman has earned at least a bachelor's degree. Most have earned advanced degrees or law degrees from Ivy League schools. In fact, every president since George H.W. Bush has held a degree from an Ivy League university.

Diamonds, graphite and charcoal are all forms of which element?

9 hours ago, dgrimm60 said:

CARBON

Answer: Take a look at that gorgeous rock on your finger and then look at the lead tip at the end of a pencil. Believe it or not they are both formed from the same basic element, carbon. The difference is that the atoms in diamonds are more tightly packed together. Under just the right conditions carbon atoms can eventually turn into a diamond. And the next time your family goes to a barbecue you'll now know that the main ingredient of the charcoal is also carbon. Carbon forms a vast number of compounds, more than any other element. For this reason, carbon has often been referred to as the "king of the elements".
