Which of these challenged books won the Pulitzer Prize?

The Grapes of Wrath??

Answer: John Steinbeck was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1940 for his novel The Grapes of Wrath. When Grapes of Wrath was published, it was met with immediate praise--and harsh criticism. The book starkly portrays the social injustices faced by the American underclass during the Great Depression. One of Steinbeck’s most effective works of social commentary, the novel also won the National Book Award. However, not every incredible work gets awarded the ultimate prize. The Great Gatsby didn’t win the Pulitzer Prize and neither did The Catcher in the Rye or For Whom the Bell Tolls.

What was Superman's birth name?

Kal El

Answer: Superman was born on the planet Krypton and was given the name Kal-El at birth. As a baby, his parents sent him to Earth in a small spaceship moments before Krypton was destroyed. His ship landed in the American countryside, near the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas. He was found and adopted by farmers Jonathan and Martha Kent, who named him Clark Kent. Growing up, he and his adoptive parents discover that he has superhuman powers. The Kents teach Clark to use these powers responsibly to help others and fight crime. Moving to Metropolis, he became Superman, while still maintaining his secret identity as Clark Kent.

Montpelier

Answer: In 49 out of America’s 50 state capitals, there is a McDonald’s within the city limits. The odd state capital out? Montpelier, Vermont is the only state capital that doesn't have a McDonald's. Fox News reports that this isn’t as big of a surprise as it might seem. Montpelier is the smallest state capital in terms of population, with only about 7,500 people. They also favor local businesses over big, well-known chains. Luckily, if you find yourself craving McDonald’s fries in Montpelier, you don’t have to travel too far. There’s a Mickey D’s in the neighboring city, Barre.

PHKRAUSE

 the  answer  is   MIDDLE

dgrimm60

Answer: Throughout history, the majority of our commanders-in-chief have been middle children. Abraham Lincoln, JFK, and Donald Trump were all middle children. In fact, just over half – 23, exactly of U.S. Presidents have been middle children. Firstborn children made up the second largest group among the 44 commanders-in-chief. Firstborn children may often be natural leaders, but only 14 U.S. Presidents were the oldest in their respective families. Seven presidents were the youngest in their birth order. There has yet to be a president who was an only child.
