I would like to hear more about this! My liver suffers from a genetic condition which leads to increased chloresterol, both good and bad types. My mom had it as well and was scared to touch avocados. I have always puzzled over that since avocados have a vegetable fat rather than an animal one. But this article is saying that even eggs and butter can be tolerated.

beware of article sources, such as naturalcuresandhomemaderemedies.com (which is the source for the article in the 2nd article).  Those types of websites aren't usually scientifically accurate.

In the above 2nd article, it talks about Dr. Fred Hatfield and how he "beat cancer" by using the ketogenic diet.  What the article *doesn't* state, is that Fred Hatfield died — of heart disease.

Just be careful if you're thinking of doing a fad diet...

anything that says "no carbs" should immediately be suspect. There are certain serious side effects from same (or any similar diet) which can cause serious heart problems.
