Constantine is the one who reconfigured the Sabbath (to Sunday)

Not sure what you mean by this, since there is ample evidence that Sunday was the accepted day of worship among Christians, especially those outside Palestine, since at least early 2nd century and possibly even late 1st CE.

Constantine did make a law prohibiting work on Sunday, but that is not the same as changing the day of worship from the seventh to the first.

Maybe true or not; but by having the Emperor sanction Sunday and making Christianity the official religion of the Empire certainly had significant influence.

Thank you JoeMo for that update on 8th day.

You are absolutely right that the Edict of Constantine had significant influence. On the other hand, Christians had been worshiping on Sunday for at least 300ish years by this time. And it did not prescribe worship on Sunday, but rather an official rest day when markets and public offices were closed. Farmers (which was pretty much everybody) could still farm, fishermen could still fish, etc.

Not much different than today's "blue laws."
